THE PLOT:
An atomic scientist gets an over exposer of radiation but instead of the normal things that happen to victims of radiation
exposer, this scientist has a strange and bizarre reaction. Exposure to the sun causes a radical transformation into a strange
demon looking monster and not a very nice one.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
This is not a horrible movie but something tells me it's a case of what were they thinking? The effects of nuclear radiation
was known at this time, so what's up with the Jekyll and Hyde mutation bit? I loved the creature design, but they should
have found a way to attack it to the main part of the costume so the bottom of the mask would dangle when the actor bends
over. All and all, a good attempt but I think they could have done better. 4 STARS.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I agree about the flaws in this movie, my brother would have written it so differently. Now this is the kind of movie that's
in need of a remake, not a movie that was done right the first time. But bad movies with a hint of a good idea or a grain
of something that could be turned into something good. 1 1/2 stars.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ CREATURE EFFECTS (The creature design was cool.)
+ CAST (The cast does a great job.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- UNREALISTIC (The concept is kind of goofy and unrealistic, considering everyone knows the effects of radiation by this time
period.)
- MONSTER MASK (Should have been attached to the costume somehow, did they have Velcro in 1959?)
...AND FINALLY...
- REMAKE (They need to remake this before they remake anything that was well made.)
