Also Known As:
The Giant Mantis
The Incredible Praying Mantis
THE PLOT:
Global warming causes more trouble then ever, a ice berg containing a massive mantis breaks off and when the prehistoric creature
thaws it goes on a rampage and seems to be unstoppable.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
Now I love the creature effects in this movie, the giant puppet they used which had to been at least man sized was brilliant.
But is this a perfect movie? No, afraid not. There are some story issues, like I knew insects were bigger back in the dinoday
but this thing could give a T-Rex a run for it's money. I don't think bugs ever got that big and they never said it was a
mutant. 7 STARS.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I too am crazy about the creature effects even with the anatomical mistake. They forgot the Mantis's antennae. Plus there
were some minor character and dialog issues. 7 STARS as well.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ CREATURE EFFECTS (We loved that puppet, love to know where it now?)
+ CAST (The cast does a great job.)
+ MODEL WORK (The model work is great.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- SIZE (I don't think Praying Mantises were ever the size of a T-Rex.)
- NO ANTENNAE (The antennae on a mantis is somewhat large.)
...AND FINALLY...
- CHARACTER ISSUES (Minor character issues as well.)
